I Try to Take Off My Head Sometimes

I got my super special copy of The Used's new record Artwork in the mail a couple days ago, but haven't exactly had the time to talk about it. So!, because I'm too damn lazy to analyze each and every song, I'll just discuss the ones that really stuck out to me, whether for good or bad.

Firstly, "Men Are All The Same". My favourite track on Artwork and my new favourite song by The Used in their entirety. The lyrics ("Always safe to know what is good for taking blood stains from your clothes/Like I said before, when I bite your tongue out of your mouth you'll know") are as twisted as they are metaphorical, and make for the beginnings of an unforgettable tune. Not only are the lyrics impressive, but Quinn's guitar, Jepha's bass, and yes even Dan's drums, sound fantastic in this song. I especially love Quinn's guitar playing just before the chorus, and the line "You can tell your mom that men are all the same". Basically all I can is if you're looking to listen to one song on this record, make it "Men Are All The Same".

Secondly, "The Best of Me". Could this scream Gerard any louder? Perhaps it's just me, but I truly believe this song is about everyone's favourite egotistical dirt bag. With lyrics like "I could forget your lies/I could forget the hype for always/I could forget your pride" it's hard not to think such things. Yes, the song is great, and one of the few that I could imagine fitting on "In Love and Death". Not to say that "Lies For the Liars" was a terrible album, I quite enjoyed it, but it was a much softer record than it's predecessor. Either way, this is another great song. (Plus it makes my Bert/Gerard fan girl side squeal a little...)

Thirdly, "Meant to Die". Everything about this song is perfect. From the catchy guitar, bass, and drum lines to, again, the lyrics ("Sure I lost my mind/But I never really meant to die"), this song is one of those that would be a hit during a live performance. It has such an energy to it (especially during the chorus), that even while listening to it on the bus I felt the need to be moving.

Fourthly, "Sold My Soul". The guitar and occasional piano in this are beautiful, as well as...guess what? The lyrics! In case you haven't realized this by now, I'm the kind of person that bases the quality of a song not only off of its melody, but off of the words within it. In any event, I had been waiting to hear this song since a bit of it was played in one of The Used's Youtube videos, and I was not disappointed.

Fifthly, "On the Cross" which makes constant references to prayer and religion. The lyrics ("So pray there if it makes you feel safe/All I can say is we go our own way/We go our own way/So save us"), showcase a sort of skepticism to religious practices that The Used have never really experimented with before. This is of course, odd because the group grew up having Mormon values practically shoved down their throats. In any event, this song is another great tune on what may just be The Used's greatest record yet.

All-in-all there isn't a horrible song on Artwork. This album is everything I could have wanted, and I say that as a veteran Used fan of seven years. Listening to their first record in the fourth grade, I would have never guessed that this punk band from Utah would go on to be called one of the last, true rock bands of my generation, but I can't think of anyone more deserving of the title. I fucking love The Used, Dan included.

**If you're not looking to purchase Artwork in it's entirety, I seriously suggest you check out the songs listed as well as "Come Undone", "Born to Quit", and "Empty Without You". You can definitely do without "Kissing You Goodbye" and "Watered Down", which in my opinion, are the only mildly low points of the record.

All Things Used

So today I received my bonus digital tracks from The Used's pre-order package. They were a remix of the song "On the Cross" and a non-album track entitled "In a Needle". Now before I begin praising my favourite Utah boys, I have to get something out of the way.

I've sworn countless times that I would never dislike The Used's material, even if they released an entire album of country music. HOWEVER...I'm afraid that I'm going to have to break this resolution, simply because of "In a Needle". Starting with a very intriguing opening, the song goes on to sound like a Boys Like Girls piece fronted by Bert McCracken. It's poppy and senseless, with lyrics that are in a word, terrible. This of course surprised me because Artwork's two singles, "Blood on My Hands" and "Born to Quit" were fantastic and got me pumped to hear the rest of the album.

Luckily, my hope in The Used's new material was saved once I moved onto the second track "On the Cross". While a remix, "On the Cross" is much more promising and edgy than the piece of shit that comes before it.

The verdict? I'm still pumped as ever for Artwork despite how terrible "In a Needle" may have been, because guess what?

THE USED ARE COMING TO ALLENTOWN ON OCTOBER 24TH AND I HAVE TICKETS.

The venue is called "Crocodile Rock" and while it is rather large, there aren't any barriers that prevent you from being right next to the stage. The show starts at seven and I plan to be there at three or earlier, just to secure a front row spot. So if all goes right I will be inches away from Bert fucking McCracken.

I can't fucking wait! :D

Savoring the last weeks of summer.

Well I'm going to see that District 9 movie with my father and brother in an hour or so. I'm not particularly excited about it, but it doesn't look all that bad. Aside of course from the fact that it plays up the whole clichéd "government cover-up of aliens" thing.

What I really can't wait to see is Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland, which I've been waiting to see for a few years now. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass were my favourite books growing up, so I'm psyched to see what Tim Burton does with them, especially after seeing the promotional posters.

Getting back to the topic of this post, I'm doing a lot more things in my last few weeks of summer than I have during the whole thing. Tomorrow my father and I are going to this Puerto Rican museum in Manhattan to see if they'll put some of his paintings on display. After wards we're going to watch this Puerto Rican/African group perform and be all...artsy. :D

Then next week we're thinking about making a trip to North Carolina to see my older brother who recently got out of jail. I haven't seen him in over two years, although we exchanged letters while he was locked up, so I really hope we end up going. While we're down there we also want to visit some family friends.

Then finally on the 29th I'm going to a baseball game with my friend, and even though I know little to nothing about the sport, it's going to be awesome hanging out with him for the first time in a while. (Not to mention the fact that the stadium has some sick lattes...)

And of course there's the start of Project Runway tonight and the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum on the 29th, so I have a bit of things to cram in before I start the school year.

Fun, fun, fun. :3

Bert's Meltdown.

<lj-embed id="23" />

"Oh it's real!"

I really did think this was real for the initial twelve seconds or so. :37 made my laugh so hard I started to cry by the way.

In any event, I really don't want school to start. I fucking hate school so much, and I'm not just saying that to be another apathetic American who doesn't appreciate their privileges. I'm saying it because of the kids. They're ignorant white trash who spend the bus ride home talking about how they're going to beat Obama to a pulp. I'm not kidding. All of this because their idiot parents take every single word that comes out of Rush Limbaugh/Glenn Beck's mouth for a fact and then proceed to force feed it to their kids. It's bullshit.

Anyway, here's a bit of fun for you all, this was my discussion with my father on the way to singing lessons today:

Dad: Yeah I've been to.. -insert extensive list of places here-
Me: Is there a place you haven't been?
Dad: I don't think so.
Me: How about Kentucky?
Dad: Yep.
Me: North Dakota?
Dad: Yep.
Me: Atlantis?
Dad: Yeah I lived there actually.
Me: Oh you did now? How was it like living under water?
Dad: Are you kidding? I lived there before it was under water. One day I got home from a trip and I was like..."Where the hell is everything...?!"

Oh dad.

An inspiring word from Bert McCracken...

Q: Do you still enjoy being out on the road as much as your used to, or has it lost its luster a little now that you're a bit older?

McCracken: Say you got a job drinking beer, and you love beer more than anything in the world. I think after a good six to eight years, you are going to feel a bit differently about beer. I don't think you will ever stop loving beer. If anything, you probably love beer more than anything because you've been drinking it so much.

This is why I adore him. :)

Noise and Kisses...and rigor mortis?

<sup>

Sometimes the stuff that goes down at AP photo shoots is more entertaining than the stories. During the shoot for this month's feature on the Used, the band and AP photographer Megan Thompson ascended to the 12th floor of the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles and found another kind of gathering taking place-namely police surrounding a corpse.

"There were cops all over the place," remembers frontman Bert McCracken. "We were bummed because we wanted to smoke weed and we can't. So we go into this little crappy room, do the photo shoot, and somebody [asked] 'What's going on?' The cops were like, "Oh, there's a dead body in here.' They had been joking around, laughing and just standing outside this open room looking in on this dead body. It shows how rad and not jaded the cops in L.A. are. [Laughs.] As a joke, somebody asked, 'Can we see it?' And the cops were like, 'Go ahead!' So we all walked by, right when they were moving him."

Looking at a corpse up close and personal is routine work for EMTs, forensic pathologists and members of the military, but not so much in the realm of a "gross-pop" band. But remember: this is McCracken we're talking with. So when asked if h's ever seen a dead body before, he was ready with the complete compare-and-contrast experience.

"We were driving from L.A. back to my parents' house in Utah, and we came close to hitting a dead body in the middle of the road," he recalls. "We called the police the next day and apparently it was a pedestrian incident. He was in the middle of the road and his head was completely twisted around. His head was looking at us. That was gnarly.

"This guy in the hotel, he had, like, bubble-wrap eyes, just like plastic eyes. You could tell he died face down, because his face was just green, gray and bloated. It was stinky-and it was full of rigor mortis, already." Ryan J. Downey

This kids, is why I fucking love Bert McCracken.

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape...

Recently I've felt a mix between productive and lazy as fuck. I spent the past week eating Chinese food while watching Harry Potter movies/Michael Jackson videos and SOMEHOW, I've some how managed to get my AP work done a few days before the due date.

But let me tell you, it is some serious shit. 40+ pages of serious shit, to be exact.

Anyway, I'm presently feeling sick to my stomach. Not like I ate something bad mind you, but like I have this huge knot of nerves in my gut.

I've been worrying about a lot of things lately. Stupid things, small things. You see, this whole cloud of anxiety has pretty much followed me since Michael's death. It's weird, but understandable in an odd sort of way. The day he died I felt so much guilt for not sticking up for him the majority of my life even though I adored him to bits.

I remember one time in particular at school in the fifth grade. This kid was making non-stop jokes about his nose, and in my need to fit in and seem "cool", I said nothing. The joking persisted and soon he was calling Michael a whole lot of nasty things and saying how he wanted to kill him in various ways. This of course, was when my friend chimed in with her laughter, and I, once again feeling the urge to be accepted, joined in.

Ironically enough, that night when I came home from school my dad came rushing to me with fantastic news. Michael was acquitted of all charges. He was a free man. Temporarily forgetting what had gone on in school that day, I turned on CNN to see for myself, and was horrified at what I saw. Michael was free of course, but he looked like death itself. He was shaking like a leaf and appeared to be in some sort of daze. He also looked much paler and thin than usual, almost frail, as he ambled into the court room with the aid of his brothers.

The things I had done and said that day immediately came to my mind.

I knew then that I would never forgive myself, could never forgive myself. Ever.

The funny thing about this whole thing is, that at the end of fifth grade year, the friend who I had done so much to please, dumped me on my ass to be "popular", but not before telling me how much of a bitch I was in a pleasant AIM conversation. The following month, my mother quit her job, leaving us with a single income and our house on the edge of foreclosure. I went to school every day dressed in sweat pants and baggy t-shirts, just prompting my peers to make fun of me. The fact that I was freakishly obsessed with Japanese animation didn't help either; neither did the times that my mother stopped me just to tell me I looked ugly or that I was a failure.

After two suicide attempts and the destruction of the one true friendship I had left, I realized not to give two shits about what people thought of me.

I found music, and therefore, I found Michael again. I put on his records in my car and screamed the words to people in the Wal Mart parking lot. When someone said something nasty about him, I told them where to go. I learned to love him again.

This stopped soon enough, as I began to seriously get into The Used and My Chemical Romance. Even though I had owned their records since the fourth grade, I was just then finding something in their music. When I listened to it, I didn't feel alone, I didn't feel scared. I found the will to want to keep living and I developed this whole new persona.

Suddenly, I was outgoing and sarcastic. I would say things to my teachers that I would have never even dreamed to have said before. I developed friendships with people who I hadn't spoken to in ages, and who are now my best friends. I even mended what I myself had destroyed, and became friends with the one girl who had showed me kindness when no one else did. I had hurt her, and I shouldn't have, I was just overcome by jealousy and the fear that she too would ditch me. She never did though, not even after what I did to her, and today we are still close friends.

It wasn't until the seventh grade that I remembered Michael again. A new friend of mine, who is now as dear to me as a sister, began singing the words to "Billie Jean" and I freaked. We finished the chorus together, much to my math teacher's displeasure, and following school that day, I rushed home to listen to my Michael Jackson records.

I was on such a high that I even went to Google to look up how my good old King of Pop was looking those days. To my displeasure and shock, he was looking rather terrible, although not like he had at the trial. As stupid and clichéd as this is going to sound he just looked drugged up and out of it. I was going to share these concerns with my father, yet I said nothing and quickly went off to listen to "Dangerous" in my bed room.

That was the last time I held any fear for Michael's well being.

Fast forward a few years to summer 2009. I arrive home from the optometrist to face my apathetic mother.

She tells me quite bluntly that Michael Jackson is dead as of an hour ago.

This terrible cold feeling rushes through me, and I'm convinced this is what it feels like to be shot. The first thing that comes to my mind is that experience in fifth grade and I lose it.

I'm crying for at least three hours by the time Sarah calls to ask me if I've heard the news. I tell her I have between the tears and release a faux laugh in an attempt to convince her it doesn't mean a thing to me.

She doesn't buy it and tells me she has to go.

I hang up and proceed to cry for two days straight as I watch the media circus exploit this man more than they did when he was alive.

I guess what I'm getting at is that I feel like I contributed to his drug use and therefore his depression and death. I feel like I wasn't a true fan of his because I failed to stand up for him when people were making threats on his life. I feel like I could have saved him if I had said something back in 2007. I don't know how, I just think I could've.

But I didn't, and now he's gone, leaving me with this knot of anxiety in my stomach that won't go away. All I can do at this point is try and make up for how I treated him by standing up for him. There will be plenty of opportunities, I'm sure, because he's fresh meat again just like he was during his trials. Not to mention the fact that my school is filled with white trash that have been bred on the ignorance of this area.

I will do something about his reputation this time around, because as I have said numerous times in this pathetic excuse for a blog, Michael was an angel. He was sweet, caring, and selfless, always reaching out to help someone.

So why is it that someone didn't reach out to help him?

I feel like I'm in the fourth grade again...

I've been playing Sonic the Hedgehog games my ENTIRE summer.

It started innocently with a few rounds of Sonic and Knuckles while trying to avoid my AP work, but has become so much more than that.

Presently, I've restarted all my old Sonic games and have been to Hollywood Video numerous time to try the new shitty ones.

It's truly pathetic...I have fallen in love with this series and its characters once again.

Especially Shadow. He was always my favourite as a kid. I had an action figure, a plushie, a t-shirt, a poster, and other ridiculous pieces of paraphernalia. In fact, I remember crying when he "died" at the end of Sonic Adventure Two. Sad, I know, but I was completely obsessed with this non-existent, talking hedgehog.

So obsessed that I actually created my own Sonic the Hedgehog club in fourth grade. I included all of the class and gave them Sonic related nicknames. The funny thing? During all this, I nicknamed my best friend Matt, "Eggy", after the villain Dr. Eggman, and haven't called him by his original name since. Neither have the rest of his current friends.

Yesterday, after returning my copy of "Sonic The Hedgehog 2006" to Hollywood Video, I ambled around a bit, trying to figure out which new Sonic monstrosity to rent next. Within seconds, my eyes met with one of the most confusing video game covers I'd ever seen.

I had to stop myself for a second and seriously question this. A medieval themed Sonic game? It couldn't be. Hadn't SEGA already ruined this series enough?

Well--as I later discovered due to a quick Wikipedia search--they hadn't.

This game is seriously based around King Arthur and the Round Table.

It's enough to make you want to laugh more than you should. Especially when you're looking at this motherfucker:

World, meet "Excaliber Sonic". I'm not making this up. They even got Shadow. ;-;

So. To end this delightfully childish post, I'd just like to send my "WTF" regards to SEGA.

There is no hope.

</sup>

Warped Tour 'o9

Yesterday my friend Sarah and I went to see Warped Tour. It was my first Warped experience, and while I wasn't exactly excited to be surrounded by shitty ass scene bands (and scene kids for that matter), I was fucking stoked to see Aiden perform once again.

So we woke up around eight, got dressed and headed out to the Toyota Pavilion in Scranton.

Upon arriving, we were asked to park in the Red Baron's baseball stadium about five minutes away from the Pavilion. From there, we were to catch school buses and ride up to the show. This pissed me off thoroughly for I had already paid an extra ten dollars in order to cover parking costs AT THE PAVILION. But whatever.

We rode the bus up to the gig, then stood in line for about ten minutes to have our bags searched and our tickets checked before entering the place.

It was huge.

There were tents set up for every band, stands for food and drink, multiple stages, and a shitload of kids. Out of said kids, I would say approximately 80% were scene. The other 20% were a mix between punks, goths, jocks, and of course, kids that just wanted to see their favourite band and chill.

Anyway, Sarah and I made our way around before eventually finding Aiden's merch tent. And low and behold, sitting there sporting a full beard and sun glasses, was none other than Aiden's drummer, Jake Davison.

I freaked.

I didn't want him to think I didn't know who he was, but I was also too worked up to ask him for a picture. So, like an idiot, I bought a shirt and walked off.

Later, Sarah and I met up with our friends Meg and Alyssa, who then forced me to go back over to Jake and ask him for a photo.

I was nervous as fuck yet he was very sweet about it. :)

After meeting Jake, our group of four met became a group of six once we found our other friends, Mike and Eric.

The six of us then headed out to watch Alyssa's favourite band, Bayside at the Hurley stage. Prior to their set, I had never listened to Bayside, but they were great. Their performance was flawless and they even talked about how shitty the band selection was at Warped. Plus there was this one guy in the audience who was completely rocking out by himself. He was awesome.

Following Bayside we went back up to the Ernie Ball stage to wait for Aiden. Unfortunately, we had to sit through four other bands before them.

The first band, who was this unoriginal scene/pop-punk unit that did a rendition of the song "Love Story", or something, which is apparently sung by Taylor Swift. I didn't know this until Sarah was able to tell me between her laughter. To make matters even more ridiculous, this hardcore guy in the audience knew EVERY SINGLE WORD. Alyssa and I were dying.

The second band, Pull the Pin, was great as well as hilarious. They had a very Blink182-esque sound, and the lead singer was a riot. My favourite part of their performance was when he started air-humping a security guard. It was hysterical.

The third band, Longway, was incredible. They were this kick-ass punk band whose guitarist had an eye patch that read "Out of Order". During their gig they had us scream the words to their song "Junkie", and even though I seemed to be the only one doing it, it was still pretty sick. Following that, they started a moshpit and the guitarist climbed on top of the speakers.

The fourth band, Settings, was where all the fun began. They were this atrocious scene band with a drum machine and a singer who had the same necklace as Alyssa's mom. During their set, Meg turned to me and told me she wasn't feeling well. I asked her if she'd like to get some water, and she agreed. But just as we began to make our way out of the crowd, she fainted.

Everyone around us freaked out and helped her up into the arms of a security guard as Alyssa and I ran off to get her some water.

Here's the best part:

THE BAND DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING STOP.

Not once. They went through TWO songs and didn't even inquire about her health between them, even though she was right below the fucking stage. Luckily, she was all right, although she was taken to the first aid tent, and then later the hospital.

By the time Settings had finished, I was pissed the fuck off, especially after I heard band members talking about Meg's fall like it was nothing. As they walked off stage I screamed obscenities at them and sent them a nasty message as soon as I arrived home.

FINALLY, it was time for Aiden to play. I was a mix between excited and nauseas as they began to set up. I honestly began to think I'd be joining Meg in a second, when Nick came on and sprayed us all with water. It was such a relief.

Now refreshed, I was ready for the show, and as soon as wiL came on stage I was screaming my lungs out. He arrived on stage with a huge coat (which he quickly discarded of), shades, a cigarette, and the opening: "All right you fucking scaly wags..."

As the riff to "The Last Sunrise" began to blare, I suddenly didn't care that I had been waiting for three hours. I was jumping, screaming, and even holding wiL's hand as he jumped into the crowd. (I caught Nick's leg too!)

During "Killing Machine" wiL announced that he was going to try to set a record for the most crowd surfing to go on in one song. This was bad news to me, for I was in the front row and had to deal with everyone's fucking arms and feet in my face. One chick even crushed my neck, which is now so sore I can't even turn my head. ;-;

Following the crowd surfing ordeal, wiL ignited the traditional moshpit during "I Set My Friends on Fire" which I took part in momentarily. I would have liked to stay in longer, but I didn't want to lose my spot in the front.

After "Die Romantic" wiL took a moment to tell us about how religion pits people against each other, and that hopefully one day society would be able to function without it. It was a really sweet, genuine speech and it made me want to hold his hand again.

For more images go to: http://starxmonster.deviantart.com/gallery/#Warped-Tour-o9

Once Aiden finished their set, wiL came down next to the stage to meet with a few fans before he made his way over to Aiden's merch table for the signing.

What occurred comes as followed:

Me: -nervous as hell- wiL? Could you sign this for me?
wiL: Of course.
Me: -hands paper- It's kind of dated.
wiL: That's okay.
Me: Oh, and wiL? Could I get a picture...?
wiL: Sure.
Me: Thanks.
-take picture-
Me: -hugs wiL- Thank you for everything, you saved my life.
wiL: Awe! No problem, you're welcome.

As if this wasn't enough to make me the happiest kid at Warped Tour, I got to see a good old, shirtless Mr. Francis again at the merch table for the signing.

Me: -to wiL- I'm back! : D
wiL: You're back!
Me: -laughs- Can you sign this again?
wiL: Sure! -signs shirt-

Following my conversation with wiL, I got my shirt signed by Angel (who I didn't get a picture with!), Jake, and Nick, who I also had an interesting moment with:

Me: Nick? Can I get a picture?
Nick: Sure!
Me: -attempts to take one; move camera before picture can be taken-
Nick: Woah, oh no.
Me: Shit, sorry!
Nick: No problem.
Me: -hands camera to Sarah; she takes another one-
Nick: There we go!
Me: -laughs- Thanks.

After the signing I stuck around to watch In This Moment and also attempted to get a picture with Jeffree Star, who cut the line off right in front of me. I then chilled with Sarah, Mike, and Eric in the grass outside of the main stadium and made fun of scene kids. We also threw grass at each other. A lot of grass.

All in all, it was a pretty snazzy experience.
</sup>

It is located right on the delaware river. Route 209 passes right through milford. Milford is north of Stroudsburg and close to New York City. Suprisingly, Milford has not turned ghetto yet. Milford has that cute, everyone knows everyone, safe, small town feel. There isnt much to Milford except a turkey hill, the dimick inn, and a really good doctor's office. But in general its a nice place. "

Your State?:
"Like most states, Pennsylvania has two large cities and the rest is dotted with small hick towns.

The four seasons in Pennsylvania are:

1. almost winter
2. winter
3. still winter
4. construction".

Your eye color?:
"A beautiful, gorgeous, exotic eye-color which is extremely appealing but also underappreicated because of how common it is. Brown eyes are dominate over all other eye colors, but they nonetheless make eyes look extremely dramatic especially when they are enormous and framed with long, thick, black lashes, which certainly makes up for their commonness. (Yes, that's a word now.)".

Your hair color?:
"Refering to a woman with dark brown or black hair, darker eyes, and usually dark complexion. Some people commonly label everyone with any shade of brown hair as "brunette", even though lighter shades of brown hair are anthropogically considered "blond(e)".

Your favorite band?:
"A fucking amazing band, whose lead singer's name is Bert McCracken. How mother fuckin cool is that."

Your favorite movie?:
"A movie based on the greatest group in Motown and Music History, better known for their hits 'My Girl', 'The way you do the things you do', 'I wish it would rain', 'Since I lost my Baby', 'Just my imagination, and a long list of hits performed by David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks the two greatest Temps."

School you are attending/graduated from?:
"Located in Milford, Pennsylvania, STDV (refered to as Delaware Valley High School by administration and some staff,) STDV is the high school we all saw on CNN last year for the astonishing increase of STD's and pregnancies. Over half of the student body contracted one form of an STI, while there were four accounts of HIV. Every other girl (and every four guys) spends their weekends making babies.

In 2007, 24 girls were inpregnated.
In 2008, 18 girls were inpregnated.
In 2009, so far 6 girls have been impregnated.

POPULATION RATE:
In the form of stereotype

25%: JOCK
20%: SLUT/MANWHORE
20%: EMO
15%: GANGSTER
10%: POTHEAD
5%: SKATER
5%: OTHER

OTHER= people with no friends, people who vary so much that they can't fall under a stereotype, people who are creepers, and so on."

ROFL. Agreed.

Your favorite drink?:
"A beverage very similiar to lemonade but made with limes. Limeade is about 76 times better than lemonade and if you haven't had it then you are a vagina."
...Well then.

Your favorite tv show?
"The last vestige of the "liberal media (truth)" that Republicans bitch about so much."

---

How long did/does it usually take for you to find Waldo?
Not too long, unless of course it's the page with all the Waldos.
Once you get to that point you're required to give up.

Are you satisfied with the way you've been raised?
Somewhat.

How good is your concentration?
Eh.

When you eat a popsicle, do you split the halves, or eat it altogether?
I eat the whole thing.

Can you speak a lot of French?
Nope, just a little.

Is there a sound that sends chills up your spine every time you hear it?
As cliched as it sounds, nails screeching across a chalkboard.

What do you think makes someone the "biggest fan" of a band/artist?
I don't think a band can have one "biggest fan".

Do you often lose track of the date?
Oh yeah. I have no idea what day it is today.

How is your relationship with your father?
Excellent.

Where do you usually upload all your photos?
Myspace.

Do you have accounts on any other blogging sites?
Nope.

What kind of survey was the one you took before this?
Urban Dictionary.

Imagine you're able to design your own house from scratch. What would it look like and where would it be?
It would be medium-sized and have a 1930s/40s decore inside it.

How old were you when your parents started allowing you to dress yourself?
No clue.

Are you often jealous of other people?
Nope.

Is there someone you know who plays bingo a lot?
Nope, my grandma gambles. Haha.

What is your favourite list from Listverse.com?
...?

Do you know how old your mom was when she lost her virginity?
Oh Lord no.

So, what is your house? Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin?
Slytherin, but just because I like snakes. Hah.

Who is the smartest person you know?
This Sam chick who moved away in fifth grade.

Do you find questions about rape and death rather insensitive?
Depending on the context.

Did you have a typical dream job as a child (e.g., teacher, vet, astronaut, etc...)?
Nope.

Which urban legend is your favourite?
"In Berlin, after World War II, money was short, supplies were tight, and it seemed like everyone was hungry. At that time, people were telling the tale of a young woman who saw a blind man picking his way through a crowd. The two started to talk. The man asked her for a favor: could she deliver the letter to the address on the envelope? Well, it was on her way home, so she agreed.
She started out to deliver the message, when she turned around to see if there was anything else the blind man needed. But she spotted him hurrying through the crowd without his smoked glasses or white cane. She went to the police, who raided the address on the envelope, where they found heaps of human flesh for sale.
And what was in the envelope? "This is the last one I am sending you today."

...Yeah, Meg, I'm going with this. --^

Are any of your fears completely irrational?
Spiders probably. Hah.

Where is the light switch in your room?
By my door.

Do you own any clocks that chime on the hour?
Nope.

Approximately how many weddings have you been to in your lifetime?
None.

Have you watched any good horror/thriller movies lately?
No.

What did you think of the last movie you watched?
Johnny Depp can't make a good movie without Tim Burton.

Do you have a hard time believing in things?
Depends.

How often do you download/buy new music?
Pretty often.
